Residential Hands-On Training for Waste Sector Greenhouse Gas Inventory

A residential Hands-On Training for Waste Sector Greenhouse Gas Inventory under the Global Environment Facility supported project “Strengthening capacity for monitoring environmental emissions under the Paris Agreement in Bangladesh” was organized from 23 to 25 May 2022 at the Cox’s Bazar. The training was focused on data requirements for the waste sector GHG inventory, steps in GHG inventory preparation in line with ETF requirements, hands-on GHG emission estimation, uncertainty, and key category analysis using the IPCC 2006 Inventory software and QA/QC procedures. Nearly 30 Government officials from different City Corporations of Bangladesh, the Department of Environment (DoE), Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), and other relevant stakeholders attended the training.
